Volvo S60 Made Even Sportier According to Automaker

The Volvo brand has come up with a mission: to further refine and sharpen the Volvo S60. Despite the fact that this vehicle is already on the sporty mode, it seems like the car brand is still not satisfied and would like to give this vehicle further enhancements.

To back this up, Gerry Keaney, the senior vice president of Volvo’s marketing, sales, and customer service, explains, “We’re making the S60 even sportier in every respect. We’ve both spiced up the design and fine-tuned the chassis to create a car with even greater driving appeal.”

The restyled Volvo S60 will come with a front spoiler that has been crafted and made to make the vehicle look more pronounced. It would also be a protruding contour at the vehicle’s bottom. There would also be new sills and a new rear lower bumper. Each of these has been color coordinated with the car body itself. The S60’s boot lid could also be specified with a sporty new wing spoiler. There would also be a new grille which is quite larger and more pronounced compared to the previous one. The Volvo seal and badge would also be more pronounced and has been designed to be classic yet rejuvenated.

The S60’s exterior color choices have been upgraded. Now, three new colors have been added which include Electric Silver, Orinoco Blue, and Maple Red. The same number has been added to its new aluminum wheels.

The exterior is not the only thing that has been updated. The interior would also be made sportier with its metal décor trims as well as its twin-tone leather upholstery. The cabin would be receiving new Grid Aluminum metal décor panels which are optional. Although, these panels are actually designed so as to create a more three-dimensional impression and tactile feeling.

Volvo S40 is a Car You Can Live With For a Good Few Years

It might not sound sexy but the S40’s X-Factor is its calm-inducing qualities. We wouldn’t say this is the car to set your heart racing – but it’s certainly a car you can live with for a good few years. Design-wise it’s understatement that wins the day, the S40 is very easy on the eye, both inside and out – just the wheels to make an urban commute more bearable but more than capable of dealing with the motorway slog too.

Volvos are meant to be safe and reliable – and the S40 has both in spades.

And while it might not set your heart racing, we reckon this is a car which is good for the soul.
Volvo S40 comes with a wide range of engines, four cylinder and for the first time also five cylinder petrol engines for the medium sized Volvo cars. A four cylinder turbo diesel is also part of the programme.
The new Volvo S40 can also be equipped with an all wheel drive system.

Volvo S40 has a body with 68% more torsion stiffness than its predecessor. It has also a high level of safety with a new patented front structure which has several crumple zones.

Volvo claim the free floating ultra thin central console is unique to their vehicles, and very nice it looks too, as well as freeing up a little storage behind. Want to really impress? Order the clear version. The S40’s interior resounds with quality, from the understated design of a car which isn’t trying to impress on a first date – to the not-nasty-at-all fabric seats which make a viable option should leather not be your thang.

Even as far as Volvos go, the S40 is a goodie, with an excellent performance on Auto Trader’s Reliability Index. Once again Volvo lives up to its reputation.

Upholding Volvo Standards

A full-size station wagon, the Volvo V70 of the Volvo Car Group is originally a development of the 850 station wagon and sedan series. A trivia for this car company is that it has a naming strategy that completely depends on the vehicles’ size and body style. The car manufacturer, Volvo, in the station wagon segment adopted V (which means Versatility), S (which stands for Sedan), and C (which refers to the new Coupe and Convertible).

The Volvo V70 upholds the Volvo body style which means artless riffs on the right angle, bearing utility and beauty all in one vehicle. This vehicle has a styling that is restrained and elegant yet at the same time crisp and uplifting. It has been made available with different packages. One of these is the sport leather package that offers fine-grained hides on the steering wheel and gear-selector boot. The security package, meanwhile, features all-important mass movement and level sensors, security laminated windows, and an air-quality system. Also, the cold weather package did not fail to offer traction and stability control, heated seats, and head lamp washers and wipers. As an addition, options also included a Dolby Pro Logic in-dash four-CD audio system along with nine speakers. This audio system also comes with an astounding clarity and stereo imaging.

In its interior, the Volvo V70 holds 60/40 split rear seats that are easy to use, and also provides an impressive 71.5 cubic feet of cargo volume. The rear seats also sport two seatback-angle settings that are in a fully upright position for increased cargo space. As per safety, which is one of Volvo’s main values that should not be excluded in the manufacture of their vehicles, the Volvo V70 has dual stage airbags, whiplash protection seats and ISOFIX attachment points for rear child safety seats. The ISOFIX hooks guarantee that the child buckets do not move up the side windows in case of accidents.

Overall, the Volvo V70 exudes an aura of civility, responsibility and parental role modeling. It also provides the driver a feel of traveling faster. Also, this vehicle had options laid out in reference to its engines. There is the 2.4 liter engine; the 2.4 T engine that could produce 197 horsepower, and the 2.4 T engine XC with an all wheel drive. The five-cylinder engine is able to provide a smooth performance along with a nice power from its torque production.

Volvo definitely considered comfort in the construction of the Volvo V70. The seats have been specially designed so as to provide a maximum level of support and comfort. Climate control is found on most of the models in the line up, along with high technology audio equipment with Dolby pro logic and subwoofers made available. The leather seats have become standard along with extra soft luxury leather seats as well.

Volvo Parts and Used Volvo Parts has a product line up for Volvo V70 parts that includes accessories, brakes, cooling system parts, suspension, steering, fuel injection parts, and more.

Volvo Cars Have Always Been Durable

Throughout the history of the automobile, Volvo cars have always been known as durable. This is one of Volvos claims

to fame. It is also why these vehicles have been so popular and why they are still around years after other brands

of cars.

When it comes to durability, no other vehicle is as synonymous as the Volvo cars. They were made to be nearly

indestructible and they lived up to that. Many old cars are still running today. Even the cars that are not on the

road any longer will not have an owner that will say anything but good things about the car that served them so well

for so many years.

When people own a Volvo, they know that they are buying a car that will not have to be replaced anytime soon.

Instead of getting rid of the car, it will often just get handed down to one of the children. Then they go out and

purchase a new Volvo to take the old one’s place. This is because these people are totally dedicated to this car.

Once you drive Volvo cars, no other car is going to be the same. Not only are they durable, but they are also very

drivable. One of the problems with most cars that are built to last is that they can be hard to handle.

The same cannot be said about Volvo. They are very user friendly and they do not have issues with stability on the

road.

The car also handles like a dream which is another reason that people love them so much.

Those who are looking to purchase a new car would do well with any model made by Volvo. They are still built as

tough as they were when the first one was made so many decades ago. You are going to get a great car that is going

to last you and your family for many, many years.

What Was the Volvo S90?

The Volvo S90 belongs to the range of rear wheel drive cars and vehicles that were built by Volvo, the car manufacturer from Sweden. This vehicle was manufactured and built during the 1980s and the 1990s. Just like the range of vehicles that it belonged to, the Volvo S90 were crafted and created so as to tickle the interest and appeal of the American market. By doing such, Volvo then was able to further expand its growing company in the United States.

Going back to Volvo history, the Volvo S90 was actually first introduced as the Volvo 960. This vehicle was first launched in the autumn of 1990. This was done so because the company wanted the vehicle to be on the streets come the following year. This vehicle has become the replacement for the Volvo 760. The last two years that this vehicle was into production and manufactured, it was called as the Volvo S90 or as the Volvo V90. The production of this line of Volvo models was entirely halted come the year 1998.

It has been said that the Volvo S90, when the vehicle model had been called as such, only went through minor changes. These changes included an altering and modification as per its switches, levers and center console. There were also some additional features like additional tweeters and pillars that surely added and enhanced the passenger compartment. Because of these changes, the Volvo S90 later on sped through the race to the top and grabbed the top spot of Volvo’s product line up for the United States and North America.

The Volvo S90s that were marketed and sold in the United States came equipped with an electronically controlled Asian AW automatic gearbox. However, if you go to Europe, the Volvo S90s there during the beginning of the model year 1995 held 2.5 liter engines that became available along with the manual gearbox. This was called as the M90 and was considered to be a strong design and a good source of power. Other standard features that this vehicle held included power driver seats, passenger leather seats, heated power outside rearview mirrors, and a power tilt glass sun roof with one touch open and slide features. Given as options were heated seats,an outside temperature gauge, an automatic locking differential, a stereo/cassette and CD player, as well as a remote controlled compact disc charger.
